Joanne Perrin, owner of Perrin Design Group, Inc., studied Architecture and Interior Design before receiving a B.S. Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Landscape Architecture. She has been in the field since 1994 and opened her own private practice in 2002 in Thousand Oaks, California. Her award winning designs range from large custom estate homes to small atrium gardens, interior spaces, and non-profit landscape exhibits.
Perrin Design Group, Inc specializes in designing outdoor rooms and intimate spaces, both large and small scale, while providing a sense of place in the garden. With such a wide variety of styles and culture in California, our objective is to create a unique and innovative design while providing a livable, functional, maintainable, and intimate outdoor living space. Plant material is carefully selected to provide interesting architectural form, considering the long term life of the plant, it’s adaptability to the environment, and not only blooming color, but foliage color, all making a statement and providing a sustainable garden.
Incorporating architectural elements into the design, such as lighting, fountains, pottery, fire elements, furniture and artwork, is all an essential part in creating a cohesive design that suits the clients needs. We also incorporate sustainable elements whenever and wherever possible to integrate a an environmentally conscious design that is so necessary in our sensitive environment.
Perrin Design Group, Inc. manages the construction and installation phase of our designs, which is a very essential part in implementing our vision into the garden. We work directly with the contractors on every level and acts as an agent/liaison between our client’s and the contractors to make sure the project is completed in a professional and precise manner.
